07 Aug Dental Health Week 2020
This week (the 3rd-9th of August) is Dental Health Week.
We’re all told the basics of maintaining good oral hygiene: brushing twice a day; flossing daily and visiting your dentist regularly. However, all your hard work may actually be in vain if you’re not also eating a healthy diet. This year, we’re joining the Australian Dental Association in reminding you to pay attention to how much sugar you’re consuming on a daily basis.
Sugar is no ally in the battle against tooth decay. Whilst sugar doesn’t cause cavities directly, the acids that are released after breaking down sugar can increase your risk of developing tooth decay and gum disease.
Protecting your teeth against decay is a balancing act. Reducing your sugar intake is one small way to make a big difference to your oral health. Find out ways you can watch your sugar consumption below!Australian Dental Association has released, or book an appointment with our friendly dentists today.
